After the Tide - Decal detailing using XDecalPainter (XDP)

No scene is finished without the addition of decals. XDP gives you a myriad of decal layout tools - Brush, Spray Paint, Path Layout and Region Fill and in its most recent version (V4.3.8) adds an optimization volume that lets you instantly preview, inspect, and safely remove redundant decals inside an adjustable area — keeping dense scenes cleaner and faster. In this scene I painted some XDM triplanar projection decals to add a bit more life that couldn't have been achieved with a basic material workflow alone. (Landscape material is using the non-repetitive tiling material EXbomb found in Extile Plus.)
You can find XDP and XDM as well as Extile Plus on my FAB store:

The volume shows you in real time any overlapping decals from similar decals or across all decals. A toggle allows you to see the removed decals before committing.
