I've split Xdecal Painter it into two versions now: Lite and Pro.
Lite is for anyone who just wants fast, natural decal placement. Paint, spray, stamp — all with live previews so you always know what you're placing before you commit. Height/slope filters, overlap control, randomized scale/rotation, the works! Basically everything you need to stop placing decals one at a time like it's 2015!
Pro is the full thing — everything in Lite plus Path Layout, Region Fill, Mesh Edge/Ring tools, overdraw/cleanup, Poisson/Ring spray, object filtering, heat maps and more.
And the part I'm most excited about — Pro now comes with XDM+, a generative mask material I built alongside this update. It's exclusive to Pro and it generates procedural masks — Dirt, Leaks, Damage, Blobs — with basically infinite variation from a single material instance. You can also bake them down to textures if you want a fixed result instead. It's the kind of tool I wished existed when I was doing environment work myself.
Hope this makes your decal workflow a little less painful. As always, thanks for using the tool 🙏
